Fragments of an 18th Century Food Culture: The Curia Refectory

Dr Noel Buttigieg is a lecturer within the Institute for Tourism, Travel & Culture of the University of Malta. He has served on the MHS committee since 2010. He also held the
position of Honorary Secretary between 2014 and 2018. He worked closely with several members of the committee when organizing History Week and the MHS Publication
Awards. He is also co-editor of the Proceedings of History Week 2017: Food as ‘Voice’ and currently editing the next History Week publication and preparing for this year’s edition.

For the special occasion of the MHS History Publication Awards, which will be held at the Archbishop’s Curia, Refectory Hall, Dr Noel Buttigieg will be giving a talk on the ‘Fragments of an 18th Century Food Culture: the Curia Refectory’.Besides providing the unique opportunity of visiting the Curia Refectory, this event has the added value of presenting outstanding food historian Dr Noel Buttigieg who will be giving a most enticing on-site talk.
